So….my question is…why do gay folks inflict this word upon themselves my making a big stink with Hallmark over them using the word “queer” in a Father’s Day card? The word was used in a generic way,,,, not affiliated with the homosexual community at all…..and a big stink is made by the gay folks because they used it in the real way the word should be used. Not derogatory towards anyone….and….because they used the word “queer”…..the gay community beefs????
Yes, I do know they pulled the card.
My bottom-line is “Why”? Why should they have to? When I read the card, I did not relate it to the gay community at all? But, because someone is gay? and looks for discrimination in places where there is none….is quite ridiculous!
