I looked at a lot of similar questions and answers for ideas, but I think I need things more specific to my case.
We are both 21 and I want to give him something special for our one-year dating anniversary. I also don’t want to give him the same types of things I’ve given him before:
-pictures of us
-a gift card to get a picture of us taken professionally (given last Christmas and he still hasn’t used it)
-poems I wrote him
-CDs I made for him
-a drawing of us
-a list of reasons that I love him
-that Hallmark valentines cat that talks

He is romantic, but not much into tradition. He always gets me flowers, chocolates, etc, but says he wouldn’t like any of those things himself. He says a new airsoft gun or a part for his car, but those just don’t say “I love you” like I want them to!
I also saw an idea to cook dinner for him, which would be great except that we’re planning on going out to eat that night. We’re quite serious, planning engagement soon. Ideas?

I don’t have tons of money to work with, so no concert/game tickets. I would like to spend $20-$50.
