dont call me army wife asked:

Okay ya my husbands a solider, yes hes busy i understand that! I send him lots of cards and gifts. I even sent him personalized Hallmark cards from there website. Im always buying him presents and doing things for him. He has free time, a debt card and a computer. Why is it i am always doing the good deeds. Should i be angry that he never does anything for me. I dont feel very special, yea hes busy but i am his wife. What should i say or do?

If every thing you do because you love him, then you should not expect anything back!!!

How about saying, “Come home safely”?

That is called unconditional love, not to expect anything in return just respect and love in HIS way, not yours. Keep doing what you are doing. “He/she that loved the most, is always the happiest”. Another one to remember is “Giving is better than receiving”.

My wife is the same way. She used to get me cards on a daily basis, cook me dinner and have the table all set with wine and candles, she even did the whole rose pedal to the bed trick once. I finally told her all of that is a nice gesture but it really doesn’t mean anything to me. I would rather come home and just have you ASK me how my day went and we can TALK.
